Cabinet Committee Extends Central Deputation Tenure of Ms. Noorin Bux, IOFS, as Director in Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Till April 2028
In a significant administrative decision, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the extension of the central deputation tenure of Ms. Noorin Bux, Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS), 2010 batch.
Ms. Bux, who is currently serving as Director in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, will continue in her role for an additional period of two years beyond 22 April 2026 and up to 22 April 2028, or until further orders are issued, whichever is earlier.
Her central deputation tenure commenced on 23 April 2021, under the Central Staffing Scheme, and this extension reflects the government’s confidence in her administrative capabilities and contribution to the health sector.
The order was issued under the authority of Ms. Punya Salil Srivastava, Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, from New Delhi. This move ensures continuity in leadership within the Ministry, which plays a critical role in shaping national health policy, overseeing public health programmes, and coordinating with state governments on healthcare delivery.
By extending Ms. Bux’s tenure, the government underscores its emphasis on stability and experienced oversight in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, particularly at a time when healthcare administration and policy execution remain vital to national priorities.
