The Election Commission has transferred Tamil Nadu Home Secretary Dheeraj Kumar and appointed IAS officer K Manivasan to ensure neutrality ahead of Assembly polls.

In a significant administrative intervention ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered the transfer of Tamil Nadu Home Secretary Dheeraj Kumar.

As part of the directive, senior IAS officer K Manivasan has been appointed as the new Home Secretary of the state.

The ECI’s आदेश not only removes Dheeraj Kumar from the crucial Home Department but also bars him from being assigned any election-related responsibilities until the completion of the Assembly polls.
