MHA: Ajit Roy Assigned New Role as Deputy Secy, Ministry of Home Affairs

AGMUT cadre IAS officer Ajit Roy has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of four years, strengthening the ministry’s administrative leadership.

In a significant administrative development, Shri Ajit Roy, an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). His posting has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme, which governs the placement of IAS and other All India Service officers in key positions within the Government of India.

The Ministry of Home Affairs had recently recommended Shri Roy for central deputation, and the proposal has now been formally approved.
