His new posting places him in charge of security operations for strategically significant industrial and infrastructure installations spread across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and northern parts of Karnataka.
The appointment order assigning him to the CISF was issued on March 16, 2026. With his formal assumption of office, Dr Singh will now oversee security management for critical public sector undertakings, industrial plants, mines, factories, and vital infrastructure assets that play a key role in India’s economic and strategic ecosystem.

Over the years, he has emerged as one of the prominent officers of the Chhattisgarh cadre, particularly known for his extensive experience in insurgency-affected regions and innovative public policing initiatives.
His early policing career included service as City Superintendent of Police in Durg and operational assignments in Sukma district, one of the worst Maoist-affected regions in the country. His work in counter-insurgency operations earned him recognition for effective field leadership under difficult security conditions.

COVID-19 Relief and Public Outreach
As Superintendent of Police of Raigarh during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Singh led extensive public outreach and emergency support initiatives.
