Bihar’s Motihari DM Saurabh Suman Yadav Launches Online UPSC Coaching After Surprise Hostel Inspection, Orders Better Facilities for Students
In a proactive initiative aimed at improving educational opportunities for students from welfare hostels, Motihari District Magistrate Saurabh Suman Yadav conducted a surprise inspection of Dr. Ambedkar Welfare Hostels No. 01 and No. 02 at Chandmari and announced a series of student-centric measures. The most significant decision to emerge from the visit was the administration’s commitment to begin online UPSC coaching classes after hostel residents expressed their desire to prepare for the prestigious Civil Services Examination.
The inspection was not merely a routine administrative exercise. During his visit, IAS officer Saurabh Suman Yadav, a 2019 batch officer, carried out a detailed inspection of both Dr. Ambedkar Welfare Hostels. Rather than limiting the inspection to physical infrastructure, the District Magistrate chose to engage directly with the students. He inspected the progress of the ongoing project and instructed officials to accelerate the remaining construction work. Stressing the importance of timely completion, he directed the executing agencies to ensure that the hostel is completed and handed over as early as possible.
Once operational, the additional hostel building is expected to significantly enhance accommodation capacity. It will allow more students to benefit from government hostel facilities while easing the pressure on existing infrastructure.
The expanded hostel is also expected to improve overall living conditions by providing additional space and better amenities for students pursuing higher education.
