Rajasthan Forest Department Sees Major Administrative Reshuffle; 69 IFS Officers Transferred
Jaipur, Rajasthan: The Rajasthan government has ordered a major administrative reshuffle in the Forest Department, transferring and reposting 69 Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers across the state.
The orders were issued late Monday night by the Personnel Department of the Rajasthan Government, bringing changes in the responsibilities of several senior forest officers and altering the administrative structure at various levels of the department.
The large-scale reshuffle includes the posting of 22 promoted IFS officers, who have received their first field assignments nearly seven months after their promotion. Their deployment is expected to strengthen the Forest Department’s field-level administrative and operational machinery across different parts of the state.
The latest orders have also assigned additional charges to 14 officers, giving them responsibility for more than one post or assignment. The move is likely aimed at ensuring continuity in the functioning of important positions while also addressing administrative requirements across the department.
Among those who have received fresh postings are Shashi Shankar, Gaurav Garg and Akshay Jain, who were earlier functioning under Awaiting Posting Orders (APO). Their new assignments bring them back into active administrative roles within the state’s forest administration.
The reshuffle covers a substantial number of officers and is expected to have an impact on the administrative equations at the field level. With several senior officers being moved and promoted officers receiving field responsibilities, the changes could bring a fresh configuration to the functioning of the Forest Department across Rajasthan.
