Reshuffling in Ministry of Home Affairs

The Ministry of Home Affairs has reshuffled officers handling crucial internal security and Naxal divisions and appointed two new Joint Secretary-level officers.

  • Dilip Kumar(IAS, 95:Punjab), has been appointed Joint Secretary in charge of Left Wing Extremism Affairs.
  • G K Dwivedi, (IAS, 93:AP cadre) was appointed Joint Secretary (Foreigner) in the Home Ministry.
  • Rakesh Singh, (IAS, 89:Karnataka cadre) who was handling internal security wing of the MHA, has been shifted to Union Territory division.
  • M A Ganapathy (IPS, 86: Uttarakhand cadre) assigned the charge of internal security division. Ganapathy is now Joint Secretary (Left Wing Extremism) in the Ministry.
