Prime MInister, Narendra Modi addresses to the Fiji parliament

India and Fiji on Wednesday signed three agreements on Wednesday even as PM Narendra Modi announced visa on arrival for Fiji people. Addressing Fijian parliament, PM Modi called Fiji a leader in the region and highlighted the need to make make travel easier between the two countries.

Prime Minister said in his speech at Fiji Parliament, Today, Fiji is a nation that has used its economic resources well. You have been a strong voice on behalf of the Pacific Islands and a hub of this region. You led the G 77 with vision and statesmanship. Your soldiers have served with outstanding professionalism in UN Peacekeeping Missions in some of the world`s most dangerous spots. And, you are playing an influential role in shaping the global dialogue on climate change. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced a $5 million fund to promote small business and village enterprises in Fiji, after his talks with Fijian counterpart Frank Bainimarama.
