The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Home Affairs to extend the central deputation tenure of Shri Bishnu Charan Malfick, a 2007-batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Rajasthan cadre.
Shri Malfick is presently serving as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (OCR), Rajasthan under the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to the approval, his central deputation assignment has been extended for an additional period of three months beyond 31 December 2025, or until further directions are issued by the Government of India, whichever occurs earlier.
As part of the extension, the upgradation of his post to the rank of Joint Secretary (third-year upgradation) will continue during the extended tenure, enabling him to retain the higher administrative status and associated responsibilities.
The extension has been granted to ensure continuity in census and citizen registration-related operations in Rajasthan, particularly during ongoing administrative and data consolidation processes.
