Government Assigns Additional Charge of Secretary, Department of Land Resources to Shailesh Kumar Singh, IAS
The Competent Authority has formally accorded approval for the entrustment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Land Resources to Mr Shailesh Kumar Singh, IAS (Jharkhand Cadre: 1991 batch), who is presently serving as Secretary, Department of Rural Development.
This additional responsibility has been assigned with immediate effect, in view of administrative requirements and in the interest of ensuring uninterrupted functioning of the Department of Land Resources.
Mr Singh will continue to hold this additional charge until the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders are issued by the Government, whichever occurs earlier.
The decision has been taken to maintain continuity in policy formulation, implementation of land reform programmes, and effective oversight of land-related development initiatives under the Government of India.
