Announcement of Four Significant Government Appointments

Four key Government appointments announced lately witness four top officers assigned new responsibilities:

Here are the four names of the officers who have been given following roles :

  • Abhishek Goyal (IPS: 2005: Karnataka) has been appointed as Inspector General in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). His tenure will continue up to March 18, 2026, marking the remainder of his central deputation period.

  • Viplav Kumar Choudhry (IPS: 1997: AGMUT) has been named Special Director of Enforcement in the Directorate of Enforcement for a fixed term of five years.

  • Baranwal Varunkumar Jagdish (IAS: 2014: Gujarat) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal, up to August 19, 2029. His previous assignment as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Minister has been curtailed to facilitate this appointment.

  • Hari Kumar R, General Manager at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), has been appointed as Director (Research & Development) at BEL.
