The 1981 batch IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, Ashok Kumar Gupta, Special Secretary in Dept of Defence production has been elevated to the post of Secretary, Department of Defence Production in the Ministry of Defence, Government of India vice G. Mohan Kumar(IAS, OR:79) on his relinquishing the charge of the post.
