In a major police reshuffle in Telangana, IPS officer AV Ranganath has been appointed as IG of Hyderabad Multi-Zone 1.
AV Ranganath, originally a promotee IPS, was currently serving as the additional commissioner of Crime and Special Investigation Team (SIT). IPS Ranganath has been charge as the new Inspector General of Police of the city’s multi-zone 1.
As per the latest directive, Chief Secretary of the state, Santhi Kumari (1989 batch IAS) has given the nod for the promotion of three top cops.Among the three IPS officers are AV Rangnath, P Vishwa Prasad (2005 batch IPS), and Sharath Chandra Pawar (2016 batch IPS).
