Cabinet Approves Two-Year Extension for Pallavi Singh’s Central Deputation Tenure Under CSS

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has formally sanctioned the proposal submitted by the Administration Division of the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), granting an extension to Ms. Pallavi Singh, a 2008-batch officer of the Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS), for her central deputation tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS).

Ms. Singh, who currently serves as Director in the Department of Personnel & Training, will continue in her role for an additional period of two years beyond April 11, 2026. Her extended tenure will now be valid up to April 11, 2028, or until further orders are issued—whichever occurs earlier.

This decision reflects the Cabinet’s endorsement of her continued contribution to the DoPT and underscores the importance of experienced leadership within the framework of the Central Staffing Scheme. The extension ensures continuity in administrative functions and supports the strategic objectives of personnel management at the central level.
