Cabinet Appointments Committee Clears Repatriation of Senior IRS Officer Biswaranjan Sasmal to Parent Cadre on Personal Grounds
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has formally granted its approval for the repatriation of Shri Biswaranjan Sasmal, an Indian Revenue Service officer of the 1993 batch (Income Tax), who is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The decision authorizes his return to his original parent cadre and has been taken on the basis of personal considerations, in strict accordance with the applicable provisions laid down under Paragraph 17.11(b) of the Central Staffing Scheme.
This approval ensures that the repatriation process is carried out within the established administrative framework governing central deputation postings and cadre management, while duly recognizing the officer’s personal circumstances as provided for under the rules.
