IAS Officer Bharati Holikeri’s Central Deputation Extended: Tenure Under Central Staffing Scheme Approved Until September 2027
The Central Government has granted formal approval for the continuation of central deputation of a senior Indian Administrative Service officer serving under the Central Staffing Scheme. The decision concerns Ms. Bharati Holikeri, an IAS officer of the 2010 batch from the Telangana cadre, who is presently posted as Deputy Census Officer/Deputy Census Registrar (DCO/DCR), Telangana.
As per an official communication issued by the Office of the Registrar General of India (RGI), bearing reference OM No. A-11011/1/2019-Ad-III dated 10 December 2025, the proposal seeking an extension of Ms. Holikeri’s deputation tenure was examined by the competent authority.
Following a detailed review, the Competent Authority has approved the extension of Ms. Bharati Holikeri’s central deputation beyond the existing tenure, which was earlier scheduled to conclude on 31 December 2025. With this approval, her deputation period has been extended for an additional term.
The revised tenure will now remain valid up to 05 September 2027, or until further instructions are issued by the Government, whichever occurs earlier. This extension ensures continuity in her current responsibilities under the Central Staffing Scheme and aligns with ongoing administrative and institutional requirements.
It is pertinent to note that Ms. Bharati Holikeri has been serving on central deputation with effect from 06 September 2024, and the approved extension enables her to continue her assignment without interruption.
