Centre Appoints IOFS Officer Raj Kumar as Deputy General Manager (Director-Level) at TRIFED’s Ranchi Office

In a key administrative decision, the Government of India has approved the appointment of Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS) officer Raj Kumar as Deputy General Manager at the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED). The position is classified at the Director level and is based at TRIFED’s Ranchi office in Jharkhand.

According to the official order, Rajkumar has been entrusted with senior managerial responsibilities within the Ranchi regional unit of TRIFED. His role will include strengthening marketing frameworks for tribal products, overseeing the implementation of government welfare and livelihood schemes, promoting indigenous entrepreneurship, and ensuring effective coordination between regional and national TRIFED offices.

This appointment is being viewed as an important step toward enhancing the institutional capacity of TRIFED in eastern India, particularly in Jharkhand, which has a significant tribal population. The induction of a seasoned IOFS officer is expected to improve operational efficiency, streamline supply chains, and expand market access for tribal artisans and producers.

Officials believe that Rajkumar’s leadership will provide fresh momentum to tribal development initiatives in the region and further strengthen the federation’s efforts to improve income generation opportunities for tribal communities.
