The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved two-year extensions for IAS officer Sanjay Lohia (1994 batch, Assam-Meghalaya cadre) and IDAS officer Juhi Verma (2010 batch), both serving on central deputation.
Mr. Lohia will continue as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Mines till October 27, 2027, having first joined the ministry in 2020. His contributions have been pivotal in advancing major mining initiatives.
Ms. Verma, currently Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs, has had her tenure extended till September 27, 2027. She joined the ministry in 2020 and has steadily risen through the ranks, playing a key role in policy and welfare matters.
