Chhattisgarh to Host Major Collectors’ Meet in Nava Raipur: CM Vishnu Deo Sai to Lead Discussions on Development, Governance, and Law Enforcement
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is set to inaugurate a three-day high-level Collectors’ Conference at Mahanadi Bhawan (Secretariat), Nava Raipur, beginning Sunday, October 13, 2025. The gathering is being seen as a pivotal event in Chhattisgarh’s administrative calendar, particularly since it is the first major review session under the newly appointed Chief Secretary, Vikas Gupta.
Senior Officials to Review Governance and Performance
The conference will bring together Divisional Commissioners, District Collectors, Secretaries, and senior bureaucrats to assess progress across key government departments and districts. Discussions will center on improving governance standards, evaluating public service outcomes, and accelerating ongoing welfare and development schemes.
Chief Minister Sai is expected to lay out directives to ensure faster implementation of welfare initiatives, enhanced accountability, and stronger delivery mechanisms at the grassroots level. He has reiterated the importance of speed, transparency, and measurable results in every development initiative.
Special Sessions on Security, Forest, and Tribal Affairs
On October 13, a joint meeting of Collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs) will focus on maintaining law and order, especially in Naxal-affected regions, and strengthening coordination between civil and police administrations.
Later that day, another joint discussion involving Collectors and Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs) will review progress in forest management, afforestation projects, and tribal welfare programs, including initiatives promoting forest-based livelihoods and sustainable environmental practices.
Good Governance Summit to Wrap Up the Event
The conference will conclude on October 14 with the “Good Governance Summit”, to be held in Doga. The closing session will feature presentations on:
Administrative performance reviews
Use of innovation and digital tools in governance
Training and capacity-building measures
Citizen feedback and outcome-based service delivery improvements
The summit is designed to set benchmarks for administrative excellence, encouraging officers to adopt modern, data-driven governance methods.
Chief Secretary Vikas Gupta’s First Statewide Review
This conference also marks Chief Secretary Vikas Gupta’s first major engagement since taking charge. His leadership is expected to bring a renewed focus on coordination, execution efficiency, and policy integration across departments.
The three-day event is being viewed as a strategic exercise to align Chhattisgarh’s administrative machinery with the government’s broader development vision, setting the tone for governance reforms in the months ahead.
