Appointment of Shri Vijay Nehra
Shri Vijay Nehra, IAS (Gujarat cadre, 2001), who has been serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has now been elevated to the position of Additional Secretary in the same department.
The Department of Health & Family Welfare is central to India’s healthcare policy, overseeing programs related to public health, family welfare, disease control, and medical education. Nehra’s elevation ensures continuity in leadership and reflects recognition of his contributions to the ministry.
