In a notable diplomatic move, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the appointment of senior Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Deepak Miglani (2006 batch) as India’s next Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan.
Mr. Miglani, who is currently serving as India’s Ambassador to São Tomé and Príncipe, will soon assume charge of his new assignment in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, according to an official MEA statement.
A Distinguished Career in Diplomacy
A career diplomat from the 2006 IFS batch, Mr. Miglani brings with him a wealth of experience spanning diverse regions, including Africa, Central Asia, South Asia, and Eastern Europe. Over nearly two decades, he has held pivotal diplomatic roles and built a reputation for his strategic insights in complex geopolitical environments.
