ACC Grants Two-Year Extension to IOFS Officer Deepak Srivastava on Central Deputation in the Petroleum Ministry
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has sanctioned a proposal from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to extend the central deputation tenure of Mr. Deepak Srivastava, an IOFS officer of the 2008 batch. Mr. Srivastava is currently serving as Director in the Ministry under the Central Staffing Scheme.
According to the ministry’s Office Memorandum No. A.22012/01/2018-Estt-PNG(E.25372), dated 06 October 2025, the request for continuation of his service on deputation has been reviewed and approved at the highest level. The ACC has granted him an additional tenure of two years beyond his existing term, which was scheduled to conclude on 12 March 2026.
With this approval, Mr. Srivastava will now continue in his role up to 12 March 2028, or until further instructions are issued—whichever occurs first. The extension underscores the ministry’s reliance on his expertise and continuity in its ongoing administrative and policy initiatives within the petroleum and natural gas sector.
