Delhi Govt Orders Major Bureaucratic Shake-Up: 16 Officers Transferred, Kanika Appointed SDM Alipur — Complete List & Department-Wise Details
In a wide-ranging administrative overhaul, the Delhi government has transferred and reassigned 16 officers, including seven IAS and nine DANICS officials, across multiple departments such as Public Works, Urban Development, Social Welfare, and Land & Building.
The reshuffle follows the recent removal of IAS officer Talo Potom, who was arrested in Arunachal Pradesh and now awaits suspension approval from the Union Home Ministry.
Revised Roles and Additional Charges for IAS Officers
Hemant Kumar (IAS:2013:AGMUT) – Currently Special CEO (DDMA) and Special Commissioner (Development); now entrusted with additional charge of Special Secretary (Urban Development).
Suneel Anchpika (IAS:2014:AGMUT) – Serving as Special Commissioner (Trade & Taxes) and Special Secretary (Tourism); assigned additional charge of Special Secretary (PWD).
Eda Raja Babu (IAS:2014:AGMUT) – Transferred from Additional CEO (Delhi Jal Board) to Special Registrar (Cooperative Societies).
Yash Chaudhary (IAS:2017:AGMUT) – Presently Director (Social Welfare) and Special Secretary (SC/ST/OBC/Minorities); also given charge of Special Secretary (Health).

Officials described the move as a strategic administrative realignment aimed at ensuring greater efficiency and coordination among Delhi’s governance institutions.
The reshuffle is intended to:
Strengthen inter-departmental collaboration amid ongoing infrastructure and welfare projects. Fill critical vacancies created due to recent disciplinary and procedural actions. Enhance responsiveness and oversight in departments handling public services, land regulation, and civic administration.
According to senior officials, the latest postings reflect the Delhi government’s push to modernize administrative systems and position capable officers in key operational roles for smoother governance delivery.
