The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved key bureaucratic changes, as per official orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on May 28, 2025.

IAS officer K C Devasenapathi (2007 batch, Chhattisgarh cadre) has been appointed as Secretary (Joint Secretary level) of the Coastal Aquaculture Authority (CAA), Chennai, under the Department of Fisheries. His appointment is for a combined tenure of seven years — until August 18, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

In his new role, Devasenapathi will be responsible for overseeing regulatory mechanisms and advancing sustainable aquaculture initiatives along India’s coastal regions.

Archana P P Transferred to Kerala Cadre on Marital Grounds

In another development, IAS officer Archana P P (2024 batch, Karnataka cadre) has been transferred to the Kerala cadre following her marriage to Shri S Gautham Raj, IAS (2023 batch, Kerala cadre).

The transfer has been processed under DoPT guidelines that allow inter-cadre transfers on grounds of marriage, subject to mutual agreement between the concerned state governments and approval by the Central Government. Archana’s request fulfilled all procedural requirements and has been formally approved.
