Extension of Central Deputation Tenure of Gopalakrishnan Ganesan

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has conveyed its approval for the extension of the central deputation tenure of Shri Gopalakrishnan Ganesan, an officer belonging to the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), 2010 batch. Shri Ganesan is presently serving as Director in the Ministry of Steel under the Central Staffing Scheme.

As per the decision of the ACC, the officer’s deputation tenure will now stand extended for an additional period of two years, beginning from 03 January 2026 and continuing up to 03 January 2028, or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier.

Shri Gopalakrishnan Ganesan has been serving on central deputation since 13 March 2021, during which he has been engaged in various policy and administrative functions within the Ministry of Steel. His continued tenure is expected to further contribute to the Ministry’s ongoing initiatives and institutional strengthening under the Central Staffing Scheme.
