In a remarkable gesture of faith and philanthropy, Y.V.S.S. Bhaskar Rao, a retired Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer from Hyderabad, has posthumously donated a residential property worth ₹3 crore along with ₹66 lakh in cash to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
‘Ananda Nilayam’ Dedicated to Spiritual Purposes
The property, a 3,500 sq ft residence named Ananda Nilayam located in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad, has been gifted through Bhaskar Rao’s will for religious and spiritual activities. The TTD will utilize the premises in accordance with its temple-related services and outreach initiatives.
₹66 Lakh Donated Across Six TTD Trusts
In addition to the property, Bhaskar Rao allocated ₹66 lakh from his personal savings to six different charitable trusts operated by TTD. These trusts support a range of causes, including Annadanam (free meal services), education, healthcare, and the preservation of Hindu religious practices.
Formal Handover at Tirumala Temple
The late officer’s wishes were formally carried out by trustees M. Devaraj Reddy, V. Satyanarayana, and B. Venkaiah Chowdary at the Ranganayakula Mandapam in the Tirumala temple complex on Thursday morning.
Mr. Chowdary praised Bhaskar Rao’s deep devotion and spiritual legacy, and commended the trustees for faithfully executing his final wishes.
