As many as four officers have been appointed as upgraded from the post of Additional Director to Special Director in Intelligence Bureau. The officers are: Sunil Kumar Bansal, IPS (OD:87), Akshaya Kumar Mishra, IPS(RJ:87), A Sema Rajan, IPS (BH:87), and Swagat Das, IPS (CH:87).
