Gujarat Assigns New Responsibilities to 5 IAS Officers; Anchu Wilson Joins GAD, Tejas Parmar Gets Surat Municipal Charge
Gujarat has reshuffled five IAS officers, posting Anchu Wilson to the General Administration Department while assigning new and additional responsibilities to P B Rathod, Ranjeeth Kumar, Nagarajan M and Tejas Parmar.
The Gujarat government has carried out a minor but strategically important administrative reshuffle, reallocating responsibilities among five Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across the state.

Among the key changes, Anchu Wilson has been moved to the General Administration Department as Deputy Secretary, while Tejas Dilipbhai Parmar will now hold the dual responsibility of Collector, Surat, and Municipal Commissioner of Surat Municipal Corporation.
The reshuffle also brings fresh assignments for Ranjeeth Kumar and Nagarajan M, while P B Rathod has been entrusted with an additional district-level responsibility.
Anchu Wilson Moves to Gujarat’s Administrative Hub

The order allows Rathod to continue leading the state’s skill development initiatives while simultaneously overseeing district-level development administration in Mehsana.
The DDO plays a key role in implementing rural development programmes, coordinating government schemes and supervising developmental activities at the district level.
Balancing both assignments is expected to expand Rathod’s administrative responsibilities considerably.
Ranjeeth Kumar Takes Charge at GERC
Another important appointment involves Ranjeeth Kumar, who has been posted as Secretary of the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC).

Samagra Shiksha is one of India’s flagship school education programmes, integrating initiatives across elementary and secondary education while focusing on infrastructure, learning outcomes and institutional strengthening.
As State Project Director, Nagarajan will oversee the implementation of education programmes across Gujarat, coordinating with district administrations, educational institutions and state authorities.
His new assignment places him at the forefront of educational programme implementation in the state.
Tejas Dilipbhai Parmar Gets Dual Responsibility in Surat
Perhaps the most operationally significant change in the reshuffle concerns Tejas Dilipbhai Parmar.
Already serving as Collector of Surat, Parmar has now been entrusted with the additional charge of Municipal Commissioner, Surat Municipal Corporation.
The dual assignment gives him responsibility for both district administration and urban civic governance in one of Gujarat’s largest and fastest-growing cities.
As Collector, Parmar oversees law and order coordination, revenue administration and district-level governance. As Municipal Commissioner, he will simultaneously supervise civic infrastructure, sanitation, public services, urban planning and municipal administration.
The combined role is expected to strengthen coordination between district administration and urban governance in Surat.
