Haryana: 5 IAS Officers Transferred; Virender Lather Appointed District Municipal Commissioner, Ambala

The Haryana government on Thursday announced a reshuffle involving five IAS officers, implementing immediate transfers and new postings in a move aimed at streamlining administrative functions.

As per the official notification:

Virender Lather, a 2014 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as District Municipal Commissioner, Ambala, and Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ambala.

Rahul Narwal (2016 batch), currently serving as Special Secretary in the Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Department and also holding roles as Director, IT and Managing Director of CONFED, has been assigned additional charge as Special Director, Rural Development and Special Secretary, Rural Development Department.

Hitesh Kumar Meena, a 2019 batch officer, has been posted as Additional Secretary, Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Department, Government of Haryana.

Dr. Balpreet Singh (2019 batch) has been appointed Chief Executive, Haryana Khadi and Village Industries Board, and will additionally serve as Director, Archives, Haryana, and Additional Secretary, Archives Department.

Renu Sogan, also from the 2019 batch, has been posted as Additional Secretary, Citizen Resources Information Department (CRID).

These changes form part of the state’s ongoing administrative adjustments to improve governance and public service delivery.
