Haryana: 9 Bureaucrats Reshufled – Key Roles Given in Energy, Housing & UD Sectors

In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at reinforcing governance across major departments, the Haryana Government on Monday issued transfer and posting orders for nine IAS officers with immediate effect. The orders, issued by Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi, bring notable changes across the Energy, Urban Development, Housing, and Labour sectors.

Major Transfers and Postings

Shyamal Misra — Previously serving as Chief Administrator of the Trade Fair Authority of Haryana, New Delhi, and as CEO of the Faridabad and Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authorities, Misra now takes charge as Chief Administrator, Trade Fair Authority of Haryana, New Delhi, and Principal Secretary, Energy Department.

J. Ganesan — Former Director of HARTRON and Managing Director, Housing for All, Ganesan assumes multiple key portfolios, including CEO of Faridabad and Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authorities, Director General and Secretary of Housing for All, Haryana, and Chief Administrator, Housing Board, Haryana. He will continue to oversee externally aided projects such as HAIDP and HCAPSD.

Ashok Kumar Meena — The outgoing Managing Director of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited, Meena has been appointed as Director General, Development & Panchayats Department, and Secretary, Development & Panchayats, Haryana.

Dusmanta Kumar Behera — Former Secretary to the Governor and DG, Development & Panchayats, Behera will now serve as Secretary to the Governor, Labour Commissioner, and Secretary, Labour Department, Haryana.

Mani Ram Sharma — Earlier serving as Labour Commissioner and Secretary, Home Department, Sharma has been appointed Managing Director, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited, while retaining his charge as Secretary, Energy and Home Departments.

Dr. Aditya Dahiya — Currently Special Secretary, Personnel, Training & Parliamentary Affairs, Dahiya has been assigned the additional roles of Director, New & Renewable Energy, and Special Secretary, New & Renewable Energy Department.

Mahender Pal — Former Special Secretary, Industries & Commerce, and Additional Director, Mines & Geology, Pal will now serve as Managing Director, HARTRON, and Managing Director, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited.

Amar Deep Singh — Appointed as Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Haryana.

Varsha Khangwal — The Additional Director (Administration), Information, Public Relations & Languages Department, Khangwal has been given additional charge as Additional Secretary, Vigilance Department.

Administrative Focus and Broader Implications

The reshuffle signals the state government’s intent to streamline operations and strengthen administrative control over vital sectors, particularly energy, housing, urban development, and renewable initiatives.
