In a significant administrative reorganization, the Government of Haryana has issued new posting and transfer orders for a total of twenty-one senior officers. This group includes nineteen officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), one officer from the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), and one officer from the Haryana Civil Services (HCS). According to an official notification released by the government, these orders are effective immediately.

A key aspect of this reshuffle involves strategic reassignments at the level of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS). Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, an IAS officer from the 1990 batch who currently holds the position of ACS, will continue to manage his important portfolios, which include the Departments of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education, and AYUSH. In addition to these responsibilities, he has now been entrusted with the additional charge of the Environment, Forests, and Wildlife Department.

In a similar move, Dr. Raja Sekhar Vundru, also an IAS officer from the 1990 batch and an ACS, has been given the additional responsibility of leading the Transport Department, alongside his existing duties.

Ms. G Anupama, an IAS officer from the 1991 batch and an ACS, has been assigned the additional charge of the Haryana Citizen Resources Information Department.

Furthermore, Mr. TL Satyaprakash, an IAS officer from the 2002 batch, will continue to oversee the Mines and Geology Department and has now been given the additional assignment of the Women and Child Development Department.

The reshuffle also includes several other major bureaucratic movements. Mr. PC Meena, an IAS officer from the 2004 batch, has been appointed to the position of Commissioner and Secretary for the Haryana Human Resources Department.

Mr. Rajiv Rattan, an IAS officer from the 2008 batch, is now the new Commissioner of the Rohtak Division.

Mr. Yash Garg, an IAS officer from the 2009 batch, will now serve as the Director General (DG) of Industries and Commerce, as well as the DG of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), in addition to continuing with his current assignments.

Mr. Dharmender Singh, an IAS officer from the 2012 batch, has taken on the additional charge of Administrator (Headquarters) for the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP).

Mr. Vivek Aggarwal, an officer from the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), has been appointed as the Director General of Skill Development and Industrial Training, and will also serve as the Secretary of the Skill Development Department, while simultaneously continuing in his existing role.

A notable part of this administrative reshuffle is the appointment of new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) for three districts. Dr. Munish Nagpal, an officer who has been promoted to the IAS, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Charkhi Dadri.

Dr. Vivek Bharti, another promotee IAS officer, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Fatehabad.

Mr. Satpal Sharma, an IAS officer from the 2017 batch, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Panchkula.

These appointments are widely viewed as a part of a larger initiative aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative service delivery at the district level.

The overall objective behind this latest reshuffle is to enhance operational efficiency within the state government. It reflects the Haryana Government’s focused approach towards streamlining leadership across various departments, assigning cross-functional responsibilities, and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of public services. By having several officers take on additional charges, the move is expected to improve coordination and collaboration across different departments and sectors.
