Haryana Government Transfers Three IAS Officers; Raja Sekhar Vundru Appointed ACS Food, Shashvat Sangwan Named Mission Director SBM Urban
In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Haryana government has ordered the transfer and posting of three senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers with immediate effect. The decision, issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, is aimed at strengthening leadership across critical departments including food supply, fisheries, transport, and urban sanitation.
Raja Sekhar Vundru Appointed ACS, Food & Civil Supplies
Senior IAS officer Raja Sekhar Vundru, who was serving as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Fisheries Department, while also holding the additional charge of the Transport Department, has now been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department.
He will continue to oversee the Transport Department but has been relieved of his responsibilities in the Fisheries Department. This reshuffle places him at the helm of one of the state’s most crucial departments, responsible for public distribution, consumer affairs, and food security.
D Suresh Posted as Principal Secretary, Fisheries
IAS officer D Suresh, who was serving as Resident Commissioner, Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi, and also holding the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, has now been posted as Principal Secretary, Fisheries Department.
He will continue in his role as Resident Commissioner at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi, while relinquishing his charge of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department.
Shashvat Sangwan Appointed Mission Director, SBM (Urban)
In another key posting, Shashvat Sangwan, IAS, who was serving as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Thanesar, has been appointed as Mission Director, Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) with immediate effect.
This appointment places Sangwan in charge of overseeing urban sanitation and cleanliness initiatives across Haryana under the flagship Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) programme.
Jaideep Kumar to Receive New Posting
The government order further stated that Jaideep Kumar, who has been replaced by Shashvat Sangwan as Mission Director, Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), will be assigned a new posting separately.
Administrative Reshuffle to Streamline Governance
Officials emphasized that this reshuffle is part of the Haryana government’s ongoing efforts to streamline governance, enhance administrative efficiency, and strengthen leadership across departments that directly impact citizens’ welfare. The changes are expected to improve coordination in food supply management, fisheries development, transport oversight, and urban sanitation initiatives.
