Centre Extends Central Deputation Tenure of IAS Officer Iva Ashish Srivastava in Uttarakhand Till April 2026

The Union Government has approved the continuation of the central deputation tenure of Ms. Iva Ashish Srivastava, a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Uttarakhand cadre from the 2010 batch, who is presently serving as DCO/DCR in the state of Uttarakhand.

As per the decision taken by the competent authority, Ms. Srivastava’s existing deputation, which was earlier scheduled to conclude on December 31, 2025, has now been formally extended. Under the revised arrangement, she will continue to hold her current central deputation assignment until April 2, 2026. The extension will remain valid either up to the approved date or until any subsequent order is issued by the government, whichever comes into effect earlier.

The extension has been granted under the provisions of the Central Staffing Scheme, a framework that regulates the appointment and continuation of All India Service officers on central deputation. Officials stated that the decision was taken in view of administrative requirements and the need to maintain continuity in key positions involving specialised and sensitive responsibilities.

In her current role as DCO/DCR, Ms. Iva Ashish Srivastava is entrusted with critical duties related to civil registration systems, demographic data administration, and coordination between the state government and central authorities. Her assignment plays an important role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting of population-related data, which is essential for policy formulation and governance at both the state and national levels.

Official records further indicate that Ms. Srivastava has been on central deputation since April 3, 2023. During her tenure, she has been associated with several important initiatives linked to civil registration and demographic data management in Uttarakhand.

Government sources noted that the extension of her deputation tenure reflects confidence in her administrative capabilities and the necessity of retaining experienced officers in roles connected with national data systems and institutional processes.

The order will continue to remain in force in accordance with the Central Staffing Scheme and may be reviewed or modified based on future administrative decisions.
