In a significant administrative overhaul, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday issued orders for the transfer and fresh posting of seven IAS officers. The reshuffle, aimed at optimizing governance, was announced via an official directive from the General Administration Department (GAD) and comes into effect immediately.
Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma Appointed Financial Commissioner, Tourism Department
Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma (IAS:AGMUT:1994), who was awaiting a new assignment, has been appointed as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Tourism Department. In addition, he will also hold additional charge as Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, until further notice.
Anil Kumar Singh Transferred to Public Works (R&B) Department
Anil Kumar Singh (IAS:AGMUT:1995), who was serving as Principal Secretary, Social Welfare Department, and Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, has now been posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department. He will continue to oversee the Mining Department in an additional capacity.
Yasha Mudgal Appointed Secretary, Youth Services and Sports
Yasha Mudgal (IAS:AGMUT:2007), previously Commissioner/Secretary in the Tourism Department, has now been transferred to the Youth Services and Sports Department as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.
