Appointments Committee of the Cabinet Approves Extension of Central Deputation Tenure of Shri Prabhat Kumar, IAS (JH:2011), Director of Census Operations and Director of Citizen Registration, Jharkhand
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has formally approved the proposal for the extension of the central deputation tenure of Shri Prabhat Kumar, an officer of the Indian Administrative Service from the Jharkhand cadre of the 2011 batch.
Shri Kumar is presently serving as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (OCR) in Jharkhand under the Central Staffing Scheme.
As per the approval, his deputation tenure will now continue beyond March 31, 2026, and will remain in effect up to October 9, 2027, or until further orders are issued by the competent authority, whichever is earlier. This extension ensures continuity in leadership for critical responsibilities related to census operations and citizen registration in the state.
Shri Prabhat Kumar has been on central deputation since October 10, 2022, and his extended tenure reflects the government’s confidence in his administrative capabilities and his role in overseeing vital national registration and census-related functions.
