Supreme Court is going to welcome its new Judge, Justice Varale who will also be the third Dalit Member.
As per the unanimously resolve of the Collegium, it recommends the name of Justice Prasanna B Varale to be appointed as a Supreme Court Judge.
Taking note of the vacancy the collegium recommended Justice Varale as new judge of the Apex Court. The vacancy arose on on December 25, 2023.2 upon the retirement of Justice SK Kaul, who resigned last month.
Now the The Supreme Court is going to function at its fully sanctioned strength of thirty four members.
