The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) and the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) have issued a new set of notifications announcing repatriation and deputation extensions for senior IAS officers serving in key ministries and departments of the Union Government. The orders, pertaining to officers from the Karnataka, Sikkim, and Bihar cadres, take immediate or specified effect as detailed in the official notifications.

Subodh Yadav (IAS: 1999: Karnataka), who was serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, has been repatriated to his parent cadre.
The notification states that the repatriation has been approved on personal grounds.
With this order, Yadav’s central deputation tenure stands curtailed, and he will report back to the Karnataka government for further posting.
Deputation Extension for Aishvarya Singh in Jal Jeevan Mission
Aishvarya Singh (IAS: 2008: Sikkim), currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, has had her central deputation tenure extended by one year.
The extension will take effect beyond February 5, 2026, enabling her to continue in the department.
Her role is critical in implementing flagship programmes related to drinking water supply, sanitation, and the Jal Jeevan Mission.
M Ramachandrudu’s Tenure Extended in Census and Citizen Registration
M Ramachandrudu (IAS: 2009: Bihar) has received a three-month extension in his central deputation tenure.
He is currently serving as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) for Bihar under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
His tenure, originally due to end on December 31, 2025, has now been extended to ensure continuity in census-related and citizen registration activities.
Administrative Continuity in Key Ministries
The latest orders reflect the Centre’s effort to balance:
Administrative continuity in crucial departments such as water resources, sanitation, census operations, and citizen registration.
Personal and cadre-level considerations of officers.
All postings and extensions have been issued with immediate or specified effect, as per the official notifications.
