Johnkutty K.L. Moved After Vigilance Probe in Ajith Kumar Case
Johnkutty K.L., Superintendent of Police in the Special Investigation Unit I, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB), has been posted as SP, Crime Branch, Ernakulam.
He had supervised the inquiry into alleged disproportionate assets of ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar, submitting a report—co-authored with inquiry officer DySP Shibu Pappachan—that cleared the senior officer. However, the Vigilance Court rejected the findings, alleging manipulation and an attempt to shield the accused.
Yogesh Gupta Reassigned Amid Legal Dispute with State
Yogesh Gupta, Director General of Fire & Rescue Services, has been appointed as Road Safety Commissioner. Gupta is currently in a legal battle with the Kerala government before the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), accusing the state of withholding a vigilance status report requested by the Union Home Ministry—allegedly hampering his chances of central deputation.

Sujith Das S, reinstated earlier in 2025 after being suspended in 2024 over allegations raised by former MLA P.V. He had faced allegations of involvement in gold smuggling and illegal tree felling.
He is replaced by V.G. Vinodkumar, who briefly served as Pathanamthitta SP and later as AIG (Law & Order). This marks Vinodkumar’s second transfer in two months.
