IPS officers Krishnendu Chakravertty & Prabir Majumdar have been entrusted with new role in the state of Tripura.
A year 2010 batch IPS officer Krishnendu Chakravertty, previously the DIGP (Crime, Intl., & Security), has now been assigned the additional responsibility of SP (SB). Now with the new order he has been relieved from his earlier charge of SP Vigilance. The new charge brings Chakravertty closer to internal security.
Meanwhile, IPS officer Prabir Majumder who earlier was the former DIGP, has now been transferred to the position of DIGP Headquarters. On the key role he will be overseeing the overall functioning of the police in the state capital, Agartala.
