ACC Clears Appointment of Mashhood Ur Rehman Farooqui as Director in National Health Authority
Indian Revenue Service officer Mashhood Ur Rehman Farooqui (2009 batch, Customs & Indirect Taxes) has been given a new assignment in the National Health Authority.
On 8 October 2025, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved his posting as Director in the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, functioning under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. His tenure will run concurrently with the mission’s duration and may be further extended in accordance with the Central Staffing Scheme, or until further orders are issued.
The officer has been instructed to join his new role immediately after being released from his present responsibilities.
Prior to this appointment, Farooqui was serving as Additional Commissioner in the Bengaluru Zone of Goods and Services Tax and Central Excise, where he handled key responsibilities in revenue administration and tax compliance.
