In a minor yet significant administrative reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers along with two inspectors. The move is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to strengthen law enforcement and enhance operational efficiency.
IPS Transfers: SP Rural Indore and SAF Commander Roles Interchanged
According to the order issued by the Home Department, IPS officer Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia, previously serving as Commander of the 15th Battalion, Special Armed Force (SAF), Indore, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (Rural), Indore.
In a corresponding transfer, IPS officer Hitika Vasal, who was the SP (Rural), Indore, has now been posted as the Commander of the 15th Battalion SAF, Indore.
This strategic role swap within the Indore district reflects a focused administrative decision to bring fresh leadership perspectives to both rural policing and paramilitary operations.
Inspector-Level Transfers Issued by Police Headquarters
Separately, the Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Bhopal has released orders transferring two inspectors across different districts:
Inspector Kushal Singh Rawat has been transferred from Ujjain to Barwani.
Inspector Santosh Kumar Dudhi, earlier posted in Dhar, has now been shifted to Indore city.
These inspector-level changes are intended to address district-level policing needs and optimize personnel deployment based on ground realities.
Immediate Reporting Mandated
The state government has directed all transferred officers to assume charge of their new postings without delay. While the reshuffle is being seen as a routine administrative exercise, sources indicate it may also be influenced by recent performance assessments and evolving regional requirements.
