On Wednesday, Nagaland Governor Ashwani Kumar submitted his resignation to President Pranab Mukherjee but there is no confirmation about the acceptance of the resignation.
He is the third UPA-appointed governor to quit after his counterparts in Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh — B.L. Joshi and Shekhar Datt, respectively – tendered their resignation last week.
