Nanavati panel given clean chit to former CM Narendra Modi in 2002 Gujarat riots

The Nanavati Commission panel has given clean chit to former CM of Gujarat, Narendra Modi in the 2002 riots in which almost 1000 people mostly minority people were killed. They said that there is no evidence to show that these attacks were either inspired or instigated or abated by any minister of the state. It said the police at some places were ineffective in controlling the mob because they were not properly armed.
