DoPT Announces Key Appointments in Justice and Personnel Departments

The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has cleared the appointment of two senior officers to important positions under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Prateek Kumar Mishra Appointed Director, Department of Justice
Prateek Kumar Mishra, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS-IT) officer of the 2011 batch, has been appointed as Director in the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice. His appointment, made under the Central Staffing Scheme, will be for a tenure of five years from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Mishra, who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has been directed to be relieved of his present duties immediately to join his new assignment in New Delhi.

Ajit Kumar Ranjan Appointed Deputy Secretary, DoPT
In another appointment, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS, has been named Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training. His induction is expected to strengthen the department’s administrative and personnel management functions at the central level.
