 Gaurav Dwivedi Continues Dual Roles at Prasar Bharati

In a key interim move, the Government of India has assigned senior IAS officer Nivedita Shukla Verma (1991 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre) additional charge as Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare. She currently holds the position of Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals.

According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on July 11, Verma will hold this additional charge from July 12 to August 3, 2025, during the leave of the incumbent Health Secretary, Punya Salila Srivastava (IAS:1993:AGMUT).

An Experienced Administrator Takes the Helm

Verma brings extensive administrative experience, having served in various senior roles across both state and central governments. Her temporary leadership comes at a crucial time as the Health Ministry navigates major public health reforms and post-pandemic initiatives.

Gaurav Dwivedi to Continue Holding Dual Responsibilities in Prasar Bharati

Meanwhile, Gaurav Dwivedi (IAS:1995:Chhattisgarh), CEO of Prasar Bharati, continues to handle the additional roles of Member (Personnel) and Member (Finance). These key positions have remained vacant for several months, reflecting ongoing challenges in filling senior-level posts within India’s public broadcasting system.
