ACC Assigns Additional Charge of National Recruitment Agency Chairman to SSC Chief S Gopalakrishnan
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has officially approved the allocation of additional responsibilities to Mr S Gopalakrishnan, IAS (Tamil Nadu cadre, 1991 batch).
Mr Gopalakrishnan, who is currently serving as the Chairman of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman of the National Recruitment Agency (NRA).
This assignment will remain in effect until a full-time, regular appointment is made to the position or until any further directives are issued—whichever occurs earlier.
The decision underscores the Government’s intention to ensure continuity in leadership and smooth functioning of the NRA during the interim period, leveraging Mr Gopalakrishnan’s extensive administrative experience and ongoing stewardship at the SSC.
