Oinam Sarankumar Singh Entrusted With New Responsibility in Assam

IAS officer Oinam Sarankumar Singh has been assigned new roles in the state of Assam.

A year 2012 batch IAS officer Oinam Sarankumar Singh hails from Assam-Meghalaya Cadre. He was at present rendering services in Assam as Commissioner in the Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Assam. Now with the recent notification from the state administration, his name has been mandated for shifting to a couple of new key responsibilities.

Officer Oinam Sarankumar Singh will now serve as:

Secretary, Handloom, Textile and Sericulture Department, Assam

Secretary, Water Resources Department, Assam

Managing Director, Assam Silk Outreach Mission

These assignments reflect a strategic realignment of senior administrative responsibilities aimed at bolstering Assam’s textile heritage, silk industry outreach, and water resource management.
