ACC Approves Lateral Shift of IRS Officer Parthasarathy Bhaskar Devarakonda as Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the recommendation of the Civil Services Board (CSB) for the lateral transfer of Mr Parthasarathy Bhaskar Devarakonda, a 2012-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes).
Mr Devarakonda, who is currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat under the Central Staffing Scheme.
This lateral movement is authorised for a tenure up to 22 June 2026, which represents the remaining period of his four-year deputation at the Deputy Secretary level under the Central Staffing Scheme. The tenure will continue either until this date or until further government orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier.
The ACC’s approval reflects the government’s assessment of Mr Devarakonda’s administrative capabilities and suitability for handling sensitive and high-level responsibilities within the Cabinet Secretariat.
