Praveen Singh Adhayach Elevated to Director-Level Private Secretary to Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan
In a significant administrative development, the Government of India has approved the elevation of Shri Praveen Singh Adhayach, IAS (Madhya Pradesh Cadre: 2012) to a higher functional rank within the Union Government. The Competent Authority has sanctioned the re-designation of the post currently held by him, upgrading it from Private Secretary at the Deputy Secretary level to Private Secretary at the Director level, attached to the Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
This re-designation applies to Shri Adhayach’s position in the Ministry of Rural Development and has been granted as a personal upgradation, reflecting recognition of his responsibilities and performance in the discharge of ministerial duties. The revised designation will take effect from the date he formally assumes charge of the upgraded post.
Tenure and Validity of the Re-Designated Position
According to the official order, Shri Adhayach will continue in the Director-level Private Secretary post for a tenure extending up to 25 March 2030. However, the duration of this appointment will be governed by multiple contingencies. The assignment shall remain valid on a co-terminus basis with the tenure of the Minister, or until he ceases to function as the Private Secretary to the Minister, or until further directions are issued by the competent authority — whichever of these conditions occurs earlier.
Central Deputation Commences from March 2025
The Government has further clarified that Shri Adhayach’s central deputation tenure will formally commence from 26 March 2025. This marks the beginning of his extended engagement at the national level, positioning him among the senior administrative officers entrusted with key ministerial coordination and governance responsibilities.
This elevation places Shri Praveen Singh Adhayach among a select group of officers entrusted with high-level advisory and administrative coordination roles within the Union Government, underlining his growing prominence in the central administrative framework.
