Cabinet Panel Approves Two-Year Extension of Central Deputation Tenure of IRPS Officer Pulkesh Kumar as Director in Ministry of Health & Family Welfare
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has formally accorded approval to the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for continuing the central deputation tenure of Shri Pulkesh Kumar, IRPS (2011), who is presently serving as Director in the Ministry.
As per the decision, Shri Pulkesh Kumar’s tenure under the Central Staffing Scheme has been extended for an additional period of two years beyond 21 December 2025, thereby allowing him to remain on central deputation up to 21 December 2027, or until further instructions are issued by the competent authority, whichever takes place earlier.
The approval ensures uninterrupted continuation of his services at the Director level in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, where he is currently holding charge on central deputation. The extension reflects the government’s confidence in his administrative capabilities and his contribution to policy formulation, programme implementation, and institutional governance within the health sector at the national level.
The decision has been issued in accordance with the established provisions of the Central Staffing Scheme governing deputation tenures of All India and Central Group ‘A’ officers.
